Homicide probe launched after a decapitated body is found in LA park
A homicide investigation has been launched after a decapitated body was found by a hiker in Griffith Park in LA.
Police were called to the park at 9.01am yesterday after the hiker stumbled across a piece of the dismembered body.
Officers then found other parts of the body nearby.

They suspect the man, who has been described as being either Hispanic or white and in his 40s or 50s, may have been homeless because they found a camp near the body.
LAPD Lieutenant Ryan Rabbet said police don’t think a crime was committed and speculated that the man may have been a homeless person that died and was later dismembered by an animal.

The victim is believed to have been dead for two to three days.
